"I Don’t Care". These were the words said by Elizabeth Gilbert at the Texas Conference for Women, that I had the pleasure to attend today.
This was the first time I was hearing Elizabeth speak live and my, was it inspiring and entertaining!
She shared many stories from her career that illustrated how she had come to focus on the priorities that mattered. That she has very clear priorities in life and focuses her energy on those, and the rest, she doesn’t care. She dares to say to them, "I don’t care", and lets them go.
And she encouraged the 7500 women who attended, to dare to do the same, to look deep within and ask 'what do I really care about', and say no to the things we don't.
Because that’s the only way you can say 'Yes' to the things that really matter.
This got me to thinking about the all the planetary transits we have been going through this year. Particularly Pluto in Capricorn bringing an end to old ways of being. This is really bringing to our face very clearly the stuff that doesn’t matter anymore that we have to let go off. That if we hold on to, we can't really build the life that we want. This can be people, projects, physical things, attitudes, beliefs, emotions, habits and anything else that really does not serve your highest vision for your life.
As we go into the final 3 months leading up to the Saturn Pluto conjunction, it's time to take things up a notch, buckle down and get really serious about evaluating your life.
This month, with 3 celestial bodies in Scorpio, and Mercury to go retrograde next week in Scorpio, we are being given ample opportunities to dive deep into our hearts and really flush out any suppressed emotion that is blocking clarity about our true desires.
Because when you know, really know what you truly value, you can start saying yes to that and no to everything else that doesn’t matter.
