Navigating the next 2 tunnels of transformation
We have the first eclipse of this season on Wed Aug 12th, a new moon total solar eclipse at 20Leo02.
The nodes have now moved from Pisces/Virgo to Aquarius/Leo, so eclipses shift in timing from Feb/Mar and Aug/Sep to Jan/Feb and July/Aug for the next year.
Using Eclipses to shift your life
Over the years I’ve written a a lot about how eclipses are portals into new realities and create a doorway for accelerated evolution, if you can use the energy consciously.
Ever since my heart-opening experience on the solar eclipse of March 2015, I’ve been fascinated by eclipses as a strategy to consciously improve my life.

Two Tunnels of Transformation
This eclipse on Aug 12th along with the Aug 28th full moon partial lunar eclipse at 4Pices54 are creating a tunnel of transformation that will be felt all the way through the Sep equinox.
A second tunnel of transformation runs from Oct 3rd when Venus goes Rx in Scorpio/Libra and then direct on Nov 13th. This one also has Mercury Rx/direct in Scorpio during Oct 24th-Nov 13th. Communications and relationships are highlighted a great deal here, the most common places we tend to have karmic issues (and hence uncomfortable emotions) show up.
Both these tunnels require focus and directed intention otherwise its easy to get sucked into the negative mental, emotional, physical effects of this energy.
The 3 step strategy:
I created this graphic for the Saturn course that begins on Aug 12th, and it is perfect to apply to navigating these tunnels.
Step 1: Dissolve distractions created by the external world and the agendas, desires and goals, not inherently in alignment with your soul path. The Leo/Aquarius axis where the eclipses are happening now are all about stepping into your divine creator self and enabling that unique expression to come through. This requires you to take back authority if you have projected it outwards and clear the things not in alignment with soul intent. To that end:
- Simplify: continue to release, complete, resolve and simplify every area of your life. So that you have less stuff to manage, less things for the mind to process. Simplify physical things, documents, schedules, commitments, processing of information and decision making.
- Slow pace: I find that the faster things go outside of me, the slower I need to become in order to not get sucked into the whirlpool of change that can become chaotic. Simplifying your life will automatically allow you to go at a slower pace so you can be very intentional about where you want to focus.
- Spaciousness: Currently, there are many transits happening in Air and Fire signs. Air is related to the mental realm (thinking) and Fire to the action realm (doing). All this thinking and doing and taking in crazy amounts of information can get very exhausting and prevent you from holding a clear space for impeccable conscious creation. Its harder to notice and respond to new opportunities if you don’t have space in your mind, emotions, heart and life. Create space in whatever way you can and avoid trying to fill it up out of habit and discomfort with the freedom that spaciousness can give you.
Step 2: Develop focus towards what YOU and not an external authority have identified as your highest priority in life.
- Shift energy: Eclipses can bring up unresolved stuff from the past, so do the clearing when needed, releasing emotions, through moving your body in your preferred way, tapping/EFT, creativity etc to change the way the brain and body responds to old stress. The faster we can reach a state of neutrality, not avoiding the discomfort of emotions, but knowing when to skillfully transform them, the easier the experience of an eclipse tunnel gets. Be equally ok with comfort and discomfort, but, also avoid getting sucked into processing the past consistently and staying there!
- Stillness: Connecting with your life purpose requires you to access that info in the stillness of your mind and heart. When the thoughts and emotions are calm and coherent, its easier to listen to your authentic voice connected to your soul. The eclipse tunnel is a perfect time to direct attention towards what’s the next chapter your soul wants to experience.
Step 3: Direct your life force with precision towards your original and unique life purpose.
- Sovereign Self connection: When you connect to your inner sovereign, its easier to direct your life force with intention. This allows you to consistently clear the desires and goals of the past self and develop the ability to hold a clear and steady thought and intention and feeling of the outcome your higher self desires. This is what enables one to stay in alignment with your highest purpose even through what looks like challenges.
- Skill building: As you clear the old emotions and thoughts from the past, the old desires and goals will also fall away. so. Focus on the future vision and not what the past self wanted, and keep moving towards creations of the future. What are some timeless skills you would like to build? That your soul is excited to do with joy? Once you create space for yourself, you will have the time, energy and resources to pursue your calling.
