My story begins in late 2014, where I found myself at a point in life where I was deeply grateful, had checked off many things on my life's todo list and yet felt disillusioned. I was an engineer at the time, and while experiencing success in my career, I knew deep in my heart that I was reaching the end of that path, but didn’t know what was next. This was the main cause for the disillusionment, that despite all the success I didn't feel content.
On a quiet winter evening, after my 2 sweet children went to bed, I sat in silence, listening to the voice within. From my deepest self, I saw the image of a lake and clearly heard the word ‘creativity’.
This made sense, as a child I had loved to paint..somewhere in the journey of life, studying, getting a job, marrying and having 2 kids, creativity had fallen by the wayside.
I did take action on this insight...by starting to scrapbook again, this time digitally because as a mom with 2 kids & a full time job, scrapbooking with paper was time consuming. Digital scrapbooking initially quenched the thirst for joyful creativity for a bit, but I was still feeling a gap.
By this time I had learned that I was going through some big planetary transits of Pluto/Chiron/Uranus/Neptune that were inspiring a major awakening within me, and that this phase is also commonly known as mid-life crisis.
As a result, I was beginning to explore many new topics related to self-development, karmic clearing/healing and astrology, in order to understand the purpose of the transits better and just simply navigate this incredibly challenging time of my life with a semblance of clarity.
But having a mental idea of the transit is one thing, and working consciously with it to embody it's gifts is another thing altogether.
That's when Intentional Creativity came in. I happened upon Amber Bonnici's 2016 Winter Solstice Woman Unleashed event and it opened up a completely new world to me!!
This is where I first came across Shiloh Sophia and her incredible work. This form of creativity that she called Intentional Creativity, spoke to my soul in such a resonant way.
I took several of her many complimentary classes and experiences that she so generously offers. And each one started to awaken the creativity within me and my soul’s voice became louder. I was already beginning to study astrology in earnest, knowing this was next on my life's path. But the fear of change, of the unknown, of moving away from engineering was still strong.
Then I did Tea with the Midnight Muse, not really knowing what to expect. During this process, I accidentally spilt black paint on the cardboard I was painting on.
Rather than clean it up, I decided to follow the flow, feeling it had something to share with me. What the Muse ended up revealing to me was something I knew deep within but had not been able to fully take in due to the fear.
She was singing the song of the planets! Wow! She was clearly showing me the way, articulating in image and symbol what my next step was. This experience shook me in a very good way, and really solidified my faith in my inner voice.
So, Astrology, I committed to it by studying, learning new skills and completing a certification so I could guide others going through tough planetary transits effectively.
Then I started to apply Intentional Creativity to other big transits I was going through.
As a result, I started to experience a deeper realization of the gifts of the transits, meaning that I was embodying the essence more and more as I worked consciously with them.
I still had to do the hard inner work of courageously facing the shadow, the fear, the unresolved karmic patterns.
But working intentionally with them, calling out the gifts, and receiving those gifts, showed me a solid pathway to clear karma and move on to a higher expression. I went on to pick up even more new skills of coaching & sound healing so I could hold space for others to experience big transformation in their life, vision a future aligned to their authentic truth and carve a way to implement this vision. And I eventually moved on beyond engineering, yay!
Here are some paintings I created using IC principles to work with the different planetary transits.
Some of the big benefits of working with IC for me have been:
- Ability to curate my consciousness and embody the gifts of tough planetary transits that create transformation.
- Honoring the energy of the planets, transits, rhythm of the cosmos and inviting forth their highest essence, thereby connecting to the higher consciousness & benevolence of the solar system and beyond.
- Provided a powerful & constructive way to work with the unseen and the unknown.
- Enabled me to go beyond karmic healing and step into Creator energy.
- Woke up my authentic expression and exuberant creative drive.
- Deepened my connection to the Divine and this gave me such a sense of relief. I always knew it was there but IC made me realize just how easy it is to access my intuition and connection to Greater Mystery.
- Consistent access to joy, aliveness, deep peace, bliss and an up-leveled default mental and emotional vibration that spills out into all aspects of my life.
I almost applied for Color of Woman in 2018, but it felt too overwhelming at the time. So I spent the next few years in my own personal practice and applying what I understood of IC to the changes I was experiencing then. Finally in late 2021, I felt a strong call again to apply in 2022 and here I am now, at the threshold of completing this powerful transformative life-changing program.
Intentional Creativity gave me a path to not just reclaim my creativity and higher expression, but awakened in me a way to embody my Creator State. What a powerful priceless gift! And what a way to live, ***deeply richly live ***into this incarnation!
And for that I am grateful to this practice, this movement, this community and its lineage!
